Official naming ceremony in Dakar of the OCEA's biggest aluminium OPV

The « FOULADOU » Offshore Patrol Vessel type OCEA OPV 190 MKII has been named on Thursday 29th March in Dakar, in the presence of the President of Senegal Macky Sall and the Chief of Naval Staff.

 

This 58 m multi-role vessel, designed for offshore operations, expands the Senegalese Navy capacities to ensure the maritime safety and security missions since her entry in the fleet in 2016.

This new flagship of the Senegalese Navy is playing a crucial role in the sovereignty of country at sea, in the multilateral operations in West Africa and in the development of the Senegalese blue economy, including the safety of the offshore resources.
