OCEA launches the biggest aluminium OPV built in Europe, the “FOULADOU”

The launching of the “FOULADOU”, the Offshore Patrol Vessel type OCEA OPV 190 MKII has been done on Thursday, 21st July 2016 at the OCEA’ site in Les Sables d’Olonne.

This aluminium OPV is the biggest one of this type built in Europe to date.

It has been chosen by the Navy of a country of western Africa after a restricted international consultation.

This multi-mission vessel, designed to meet the maritime strategic issues and offering a real operational versatility, is directed to ensure all missions of state action at sea and protection of economic interests of the Exclusive Economic Zone.

Completely designed and built by OCEA, this innovative, strong, competitive and multi-purpose offshore patrol vessel, was developed to meet the wide variety of missions from sovereignty, maritime security, law enforcement to defense of economic interests.
