Nigeria FPB 72 MKII P185 & P186 delivered

Further to an international RFP, in December 2016, the Nigerian Navy awarded OCEA for the building of two new 24 m Fast Patrol Boat type OCEA FPB 72 MKII.

The vessels  “SHIRORO – P185” and “OSE – P186”, were delivered in Lagos on 22nd September 2017 to the Nigerian Navy.

Sister ships of of the BADAGRY, BOMADI and OKPOKU already operated by the Nigerian Navy since 2012, those Fast Patrol Boats are designed to ensure all typical coast guard missions such as:

  • patrol, control and surveillance of territorial waters,
  • enforcement of laws and treaties at sea;
  • fight against piracy and illegal activities: smuggling, crimes, illegal immigration and illegal fishing activities;
  • search and rescue.
