Arrival of the OCEA OPV 270 Gabriela Silang in Manila

April 2020

At the end of December 2019, the Philippine Coast Guard left France aboard the offshore patrol vessel BRP Gabriela Silang, type OCEA OPV 270, for an arrival in Manila initially scheduled for January 2020.

The flagship of the Philippine Coast Guard fleet, shortly after leaving the French coast, was assigned by the Philippine government to a first rescue operation of Filipino nationals in the Mediterranean Sea for a few weeks.

On Tuesday 7th April 2020, BRP Gabriela Silang arrived in the Philippines and could now be assigned to transport patients or medical supplies as part of the Covid-19 health crisis.

Avril 2020

Fin Décembre 2019, les Gardes Côtes des Philippines ont quitté la France à bord du patrouilleur hauturier BRP Gabriela Silang, type OCEA OPV 270, pour une arrivée à Manille initialement programmée courant janvier 2020.

Le navire amiral de la flotte des Gardes Côtes des Philippines, peu de temps après avoir quitté les côtes françaises, a été mobilisé par le gouvernement philippin pour une première opération de sauvetage de ressortissants Philippins en Méditerranée pendant quelques semaines.

Ce mardi 7 avril 2020, le BRP Gabriela Silang est arrivé aux Philippines et pourrait maintenant être affecté au transport de patients ou de fournitures médicales dans le cadre de la crise sanitaire du Covid-19.
