Nigerian Navy selected the OCEA OSV 190 for its hydro-survey ship

Further to an international tender, the Nigerian Navy awarded OCEA for the building of one hydrographic vessel.

This 60 m Offshore Support Vessel type OSV 190 dedicated to the knowledge of the Nigerian waters is issued from the two OCEA hydro-oceanographic vessels, KRI 933 RIGEL and KRI 934 SPICA, which demonstrated their excellent performances and cost effectiveness since their delivery to the Indonesian Navy in 2015.

 

Benefitting from the Indonesian return on experience, adapted to the specific Nigerian waters and Nigerian Navy needs, the OCEA OSV 190 will be on operation by the end of 2019.

 

With this new contract, OCEA enhance its close partnership with the Nigerian Navy for which 10 Fast Patrol Vessel type OCEA FPB 72, OCEA FPB 98 and OCEA FPB 110 has been delivered since 2012.

 

The hydrographic vessel OSV 190 is designed to carry out missions such as:

  • Oceanographic survey
  • Fishery survey
  • Patrol in EEZ
  • Search and rescue
  • Deliveries OCEA OSV 190 SPICA
