Auxiliary - Offshore Support Vessel 190

March 2015: Delivery of the first OCEA OSV 190 SC-WB, « KRI RIGEL 933 » for the Indonesian Navy

OCEA delivered the “KRI RIGEL 933”, the first OCEA OSV 190 SC-WB to the Indonesian Navy on 11th March 2015.

 

This vessel is a 60m oceanographic and hydrographic vessel, from the range of OCEA auxiliary vessels, part of our global offer addressing the needs of the authorities in charge of safety and security at sea.

Entirely designed and built by OCEA, this ship will operate for a better knowledge of the seabed and the waters of the Indonesian archipelago and is therefore equipped with the most efficient and up to date technical and scientific equipment.

Its main missions are: hydrographic, oceanographic, geophysical and fisheries studies, nevertheless this multi-mission vessel will also ensure patrol, search and rescue and law enforcement missions as part of the Navy fleet.

 

For the execution of this contract, OCEA worked in partnership with SHOM, Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the French Navy, in order to optimize the positioning and the selection of the scientific equipment and also to accompany OCEA in the scientific training of the crews and the technical assistance in Indonesia.
